un cammino a ritroso

Zappalorto presenta il film “S” (Super8, colore, 18 min.)
che ha come tema il viaggio e come attori lo stesso artista e la piccola
Andrea.
I due protagonisti tra reale e immaginario compiono un percorso che
ha come luogo di partenza la Berlino contemporanea e come approdo
la Prealpi venete e il mare Adriatico, dalla metropoli alla natura,
rovesciando la direzione biografica e artistica Italia – Germania.

Il viaggio come metafora dell’iniziazione è il leit motiv
del film.
Gli attori sono lo stesso artista e la piccola Andrea.
I due protagonisti tra reale ed immaginario, compiono un percorso
che ha come luogo di partenza la Berlino contemporanea e come approdo
il mare Adriatico.
Dalla metropoli alla natura, dal mondo cristallizzato al mondo liquido,
rovesciando così la direzione biografica ed artistica dell’autore
Italia-Germania.
Nel film i luoghi come le ‘dramatis personae’ assumono
un valore metafisico.
Le immagini in effetti possono essere lette come allegorie dell’età
dell’uomo e dell’età del mondo, degli opposti che
costituiscono l’individuo, e del trascorrere del tempo, del
sublime tecnologico e del sublime naturale.

The subject of the film is the journey.
The actors are the director himself and his daughter, the young child
Andrea Vera.
The two main characters, between real and imaginary, take a trip in
which contemporary Berlin is the point of departure and the Adriatic
sea the arrival.
From the metropolis to nature, from the crystal to the liquid world,
inverting the biographic and artistic journey of the author, Italy-Germany.
A passage in reverse, in which his daughter Andrea becomes a kind
of alter ego to the author.
In the film, the places, as well as the ‘Dramatis Personae’,
take on an almost metaphysical value.
In effect, the images may be read as an allegory of the age of man
and the ages of the world, of opposites that constitute the individual
and the passage of time, or again of the sublimely technological and
the sublimely natural.
